Part 1: Introduction

• Understand the nature of workplace relationships
• Understand individual levels of interpersonal skills
• Understand the importance of communicating effectively to bridge diversity
• Understand sources of miscommunication by appreciating how differences in culture, age, gender etc contribute to our communication preferences

Part 2: Improving Team Effectiveness

• Understanding the various communication styles by exploring 5 different communication continuums 
• Experiencing how group members organize themselves to accomplish tasks
• Understanding the concept of synergy
• Understanding what each type of person needs from others in order to work together
• Being aware of behaviours that obstruct or contribute to team effectiveness
• Experimenting with abandoning old behaviours and/or adopting new behaviours
• Taking initiative
• Forging cooperative relationships
• Creating harmony and a positive atmosphere

Part 3: Developing Action Plans

• Understanding methods for improving working culture
• Identifying current and future actions that will increase harmony in relationships

Each of these points will be covered through a series of team activities and discussions.
