WSQ funding: frequently asked questions
Who is eligible for WSQ course fee funding?
Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents aged 21 and above. Citizens aged 40+ and employees sponsored by an SME get the higher 70% rate.
Do I need to apply for the funding separately?
No. We apply it when you register, so your invoice already shows the reduced fee.
What do I need to do to keep the funding?
Attend at least 75% of the course and pass the WSQ assessment. If you don't, the funding may be withdrawn and the full fee becomes payable.
Can I use SkillsFuture Credit on top of WSQ funding?
Yes. Singapore Citizens aged 25+ can use their SkillsFuture Credit to pay the balance after funding. Here's how.
Is the funding the same for company-sponsored staff?
Company-sponsored Citizens and PRs get 50%, or 70% if the company is an SME. The company can then use SFEC and claim Absentee Payroll too.
Do you run WSQ classes on weekends?
Yes. Several courses have weekend runs held on consecutive Saturdays. Click a course to see the current schedule.
Can foreigners attend WSQ courses?
Yes, at the full course fee. Funding is only for Singapore Citizens and PRs.
Is GST funded?
No. Funding is on the course fee before GST, and GST is added to your share.
